While YongGang Li's group worked with the DASs, Rufus Catchings' group from the U.S. Geological Survey worked with the Texans. About 175 Texans were programmed to record data at the time of the two explosions. They were deployed along two lines that crossed through an area where the fault was split into two lines.
The closest road to the area was next to the North DAS Array, so all of the Texans were loaded into a small trailer which was pulled behind a 4-wheeler about 3 kilometers to the southeast.
We worked from mid-afternoon to early evening to get all of the Texans deployed. That was outdoors. We worked from early morning to mid-afternoon to get the Texans ready to be deployed.
