This is the control box adapter/mount. I didn't like the metal screws to hold it digging into the top of the CP4 control box, so I got some nylon screws. I got better looking nylon thumbscrews after this. About 1/2" length is good.
Wanted to buy a solar filter.
Frankly, I'm kinda shocked at the lack of technical details that came with
my Lunt telescope. Yes, there may be craploads of stuff on the Net, but that
really doesn't justify two pages of copied text stapled together purporting
to be an owners manual. On top of that there really aren't many technical
details on the Lunt website, either. A couple drawings with some measurements
would have gone a long way towards being able to figure out things to buy, or
things that needed to be made before the scope arrived.
I've thrown together a few details here and will add random stuff as the world
turns.

These bolts are not tightened. When I wrote to Lunt about them this is what
they said:
You can start by tightening them all the way and undoing them 3 turns to see
if that is enough travel to go through the tuning point for your elevation.
If you need more travel loosen them equally. The tighter they are the less
travel (tilt) you have the more loose they are you will have more travel (tilt).
It is best to go with the least amount of travel needed so that the etalon
cavity does not touch the ERF cell internally.
I don't remember reading that in the manual.
A: (4x)Adjusting bolts, hex SIZE: 5/64" tight, 2mm good, THREAD: ?, ?
B: (2x)Mounting bolts, hex SIZE: 5/32" good, 4mm tight, THREAD: #10-32, ?
(I wrote all of these sizes down, but now I can't find the list. I'll find it.)
