END OF THE LINE

That's about it. After Poland I came back to Praha and flew home the next morning. This trip turned out to be a really nice introduction to Europe for me, and the SUDETES experiment went quite well. Once I got the hang of the trains things went even more smoothly.

It took a lot of people to conduct this experiment. There were 60 people that helped to deploy and recover the instruments in the Czech Republic alone! Below are some of them that made the trip real nice for me.

Below is Olga Karousova from the institute in Praha. She was the project manager and coordinated everything that happened in the Czech Republic -- which was a lot!. She also took some time out and showed us around the town.

On the left is professor Randy Keller from UTEP. He was one of the PI's for the project. Aleš Špičák, on the right, was the director of the institute in Praha.

Marek Grad, and Alexander Guterch from the Institute of Geophysics at Warsaw University were PI's for both the SUDETES and the Grundy 2003 projects and made my stay in Poland very nice...in fact, free! A block of rooms at the hotel in Brzeg Dolny were used for the two experiments and I got to stay in one of them since they were already paid for. They also had drivers that got me to and from the train station in Wrocław.
